The Digital War - Zak Karaki App

For my first ever art colored in photoshop, I think it came out pretty well.

About- Zak is an introverted and intelligent kid, spending most of his time in the local library and preferring to read rather than play with other kids. As a result, he is very calm, collected, and logical, and usually just "goes with the flow". As a book worm, he knows a lot. Animals, history, science, pop culture, random trivia, it really doesn't matter. He likes to learn. He's not a know it all either. He simply reads because he likes to. However, his favorite field is mechanics. By taking apart his toys and appliances as a kid, Zak gained an understanding of how they worked. Now, he can fix almost anything, from blenders to car engines.

History-Zak hand somewhat of a sad upbringing. Well, perhaps not sad, but empty. His mother died in childbirth, leaving his father to raise him alone. Mr. Karaki did what he could, but a high paying business demands a lot of dedicated time. He was rarely home, either at the office or away on business. Even when he was home, it was not easy for Zak and his father to relate to each other. Due to not being their for much of Zak’s childhood, he cannot relate to the things that his son is interested in, such as reading and mechanics, preferring soccer or something similar. Zak is not very close to his father as a result, often spending most of his free time in the local library.

Growing up in the same Japanese city, when Zak was six, he witnessed the epic battles that the DigiDestined fought all over the world. Over the years, Zak watched as more and more Digimon began to appear in the real world, some even allying themselves with human partners. From a young age, Zak viewed the digimon as fascinating creatures that he wanted to study. For year he wanted his own digimon that could teach him all about this new “Digital World.”

One day, when he was fourteen, Zak was walking home from the library past the Sol and Lune campuses that had been set up in the city. Everyday he would try to walk by, hoping to catch a glimpse of a new digimon or to speak to one of the tamers. However, one day, while taking his usual route home, he heard a small rustling in the bushes. As Zak turned around, what looked like a small, furry tadpole popped out in front of him.

“Hello!” It said, its big eyes looking up at Zak.
“Hello,” Zak responded. “Are you a digimon?”
“Yes,” The baby digimon replied. “Are you a human?”
“Yes,” Zak said, somewhat surprised at the creatures response.
‘Really?” It answered back, its large, fluffy tail wagging. “We should be friends! Then you can tell me everything about your world!”
“Uh, okay…” Zak said, somewhat taken aback. “But only if you teach me about your world too.”
“Deal!” The young digimon said excitedly. “I’m Gumbamon!”
“Nice t meet you Gumbamon,” Zak said. “I’m Zakaru Karaki. But you can call me Zak.”
“Okay Zak! I think we’re gonna be friends!”

When Zak returned home, he found a purple crystal, the Shard of Knowledge, sitting on his desk. As Gumbamon hopped up to the desk and Zach picked it up, it flew into Zach’s phone, transforming it into a digivice.

That night, Zak’s father came home from work as Zak and Gumbamon were sitting on the couch. HE looked at Zak and the creature on the sofa and walked down the hall into his room.
“Dad?” Zak called. But there was no response…

Over the next year or two, Gumbamon quickly digivolved into Kitimon, and the two became close friends. Kitimon quickly started to urge Zak to join the Sol, so they could meet other tamers and their digimon. At first Zach resisted, but, when Zak was sixteen, Kitimon finally succeeded in convincing him, changing his life forever.

Since then, Zak has spent most of his time at the Sol Campus, becoming his home away from home. He's neither athletic nor energetic like many of his peers, preferring to keep to himself, usually residing underneath a large tree located nearby the athletic fields, where Zak will often read while Kitimon sleeps. However, he’s found a natural love of soccer while being there, perhaps something he has inherited from his dad. The Sol seems to have awoken something deep within him. Even though Zak thinks he would be better suited for the Lune, he's still welcome, and he’s thankful for it.

Talents-

Has good deduction and reasoning skills.

Likes- Reading, learning, mechanics, soccer, being left alone (or so he says)
Dislikes- Most sports and athletics, cruel or otherwise intolerable people, suffering, huge rave parties

Digimon Partner-

Rookie- Taxamon-
Moves-
Diamond Claw- Either shoves his claw into the ground sending rocks flying to the opponent, or punches the opponent with his claws.
Badger Tackle- Tackles the opponent

Zak's digimon partner's rookie form, Taxamon is a good natured, humorous digimon. He's curious, which sometimes gets him into trouble. Unlike his partner, Taxamon is very social and likes to make friends. This nature is what lead to Zak's joining the Sol. So far, the rookie form is the highest form Taxamon can achieve,something thats becoming an annoyance as he meets higher digivolving digimon. However, he hates to get wet, and will not go swimming.

Relationship- Zak and Taxamon are almost polar opposites. While Zak is quiet and thoughtful, Taxamon is energetic and social. Taxamon almost constantly teases Zak for being so antisocial, which bothers Zak a bit. They occaisonally argue. However, they still enjoy each others company. One thing that keeps them a team is Taxamon's curiosity. He likes to learn and explore, just like Zak. Through Taxamon's socialization with other digimon, Zak has gotten to know a few of them, as well as their Tamers. Taxamon accepts Zak for his shortcomings, but always pushes him to be a little bit more outgoing.

Other Forms-
Fresh- Gumbamon
Moves-
Bubble Blow- Spits bubbles at the opponent.

In- Training- Kitimon
Moves-
Sand Throw- Throws sand at the opponent.
Claw Poke- Strikes with his claws.
Kitimon is the in- training form of Taxamon. While in this form, he is much more innocent seeming, and likes to be babied a bit, while also being more hyperactive.

Champion- Ratelmon
Moves- Avalanche Attack- Drills into the ground, causing rocks to strike the opponent
Drill Punch- Punches the opponent with his drilling gloves
Ratelmon is Taxamon's champion form. While in this form, he is much faster and stronger, with a cool and calm personality to boot, if not a bit over confident. While he is completley capable of maneuvering on two legs, he prefers four, giving him a slick and sleek battle style.

Ultimate- ArmorRatelmon
Moves-
Fissure Strike- Strikes the ground, creating a large fissure that the opponent falls into.
Drill Rush- Runs, and spins into the opponent like a giant drill.
Shell Block- Blocks with the armor on his back.
Form Locked

Mega- MechanoRatelmon
Moves-
Earth Quaker- His robotic hand transforms into a drill, he shoves it into the ground, causing a large, earth shattering quake.
Drill Throw- Picks up the enemy with his drill hand, spins them, and throws them a great distance.
Mellivor Strike- Slashes and slices the opponent with his clawed arm.

After an incident involving DarkXariamon, Taxamon was able to achieve his mega form for a short time by absorbing extra data. In this form, he was easily able to overpower the evil champion level, as well as prevent him from digivolving to match him. When the battle was over, MechanoRatelmon de-digivolved to Gumbamon.

Digimon belongs to Bandai. Zak and the Taxamon line are my creations.

Major Edit- I changed Zak's original view of when the digimon first appeared. I changed it so it matched his knowledge loving personality.

Future Edit- Im gonna scrap MechanoRatelmon in favor of something I feel makes more sense. However, this won't happen for a while.
